Infant of Prague
As we approached the Year of Faith, I was inspired during prayer to reflect on devotion to the Infant Jesus of Prague. Even though we had a statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague in our family home while growing up, other than the fact that it was a rather ornate statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague, I didn't really know much about this devotion. However, I understand that currently devotion to the Infant of Prague is on the rise throughout the world.
In the past several months, the Lord has made it clear to me that I should offer the opportunity for parishioners of Corpus Christi Parish to take part in this devotion. Therefore, on Friday, January 11 following the 9:00am Mass, we will begin a nine-day parish Novena to the Infant Jesus of Prague and on the weekend of January 13, we will be preaching at all Masses on this devotion. Beginning on January 20, we will have a shrine to the Infant Jesus of Prague in the Works of Mercy Chapel.
